| Musharraf dismisses 'graceful exit' talk
National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell praised Musharraf as "our best partner" in fighting terrorists. "We have been able to kill or capture more of the al-Qaida leadership in partnership with Pakistan than anyone else." Acknowledging the political landscape has changed, McConnell said the question is, "What happens when a coalition is formed in the new government and what is the position of the president? So we'll be very carefully monitoring that." After an election in which the victors were secular political parties and Islamic hard-liners fared badly, McConnell said he was optimistic "we'll be able to figure out how to work with the Pakistani government going forward and be more effective than we have been in the past." Biden, joined by Sens. John Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat, and Chuck Hagel, a Republican, saw Musharraf on the morning after the election.

After Effects CS3 is also available as a public beta from Adobe. After Effects includes several new features including Shape Layers and the Puppet tool. The application now has the Brainstorm feature, which allows users to naturally evolve animation variations based on parameters you choose. After Effects will be available as a standalone product, or as a component of Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium and Master Collection software in mid-2007. The After Effects CS3 Professional preview is available to After Effects 7.0 users worldwide. Bay collects circuit boards from discarded computers, monitors, and telephones, combining them with miniature figures to transform them into Cyberian cityscapes. These images, composed in camera, are printed on a high-gloss metallic paper that further enhances their other-worldliness. Olivier creates sculpture out of the components of computers, copiers and televisions to transform them into landscapes resembling urban areas with green spaces. He then photographs these sculptures and, through the use of Photoshop, mimics aerial flight through these urban spaces. Each of these artists has created unique and mysterious urban architectural spaces of the future.Bay has participated in group exhibitions at the Woodstock Center for Photography in Woodstock, New York; Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester, Mass.; Highland Gallery, Marfa; and Womens Institute, Houston.
